They count it when it is erect. Most studies say that 5 1/2 inches is average. If you poll guys yourself, they probably will exagerate and add an inch to what thier size actually is.

You count by when its hard. The average size is 5 - 5 1/2in long when erect, anything below is on the smaller side, and anything above is on the larger side. Every study researched came to this conclusion, and most medical experts will tell you the very same thing.

Usually measure in inches when you are hard, and 5 1/2 to 6inches is average depending on what age you are. If you are still growing then it will likely be much less.

YOu measure penis when it is erect. You take a ruler and lay it on top of the erect penis. Press it llightly into the fat of the pubic area. Get your measurement. Keep track of it every month or so until you are 20. That is when a mans penis stops growing. An adult penis on average is 5 inches erect. Good luck and while it is hard masturbate it is good for you.

Average erect size is 5.1 to 6.2 inches. Puberty ends between 16 and 21. Flaccid size means nothing and determines nothing.
