Sounds doable. I would think you'd need a bachelor's degree to go for a masters, but I'm not sure how nursing works, or how nursing would overlap with med school. You should look into individual programs to get a general idea of how this might work.

I'm also not sure if this would count as a dual degree, unless you completed the two simultaneously.

How would you plan on using both a degree in nursing and a degree in medicine at the same time?

If it goes the way I think it goes, I would get work towards your nursing degree, if thats what you want (first getting a bachelor's if you need it). Then, go to med school, perhaps working as a nurse so its not as expensive.

That isn't what is called a dual degree, since you wouldn't be doing both at the same time. A neurosurgeon is a physician, so after getting a minimum of a bachelor's degree in anything, along with the required science courses, (you could certainly fulfill this with a master's in nursing) you then need to go to medical school, then do several residencies (you need both surgery and neurosurgery) to become a neurosurgeon. It can definitely be done, but prepare for many, many years of training!
