Even before Bush was elected, I saw this comming. I always felt compelled to have both parties in washington as each has valuable ideals. Now, I'm not sure I EVER want to vote for a Republican again. I'm feeling like if it wasn't for Democrates we would be in a communist country without ANY constitutional rights, as they continue to;
1. Break laws and not get punished for it.
2. Change the law to only favor their party.
3. Kill my chances of EVER retireing.
4. Refuse to offer working adults any safety in healthcare benifits.
5. Refuse to pass laws that force enviromental protection and independence from foreign oils.
6. Tell me when, where, and IF I can pray and continue to force their own religious rights, while stepping on mine. (seperation of church and state?)
One last question.. Do all Republicans feel that war is good for the economy?

Republicans backed everything he did for 6 yrs, and still do. They changed voting lines to favor their party. They expose our spys to the world and say it's ok, noone will be punished for treason. They give billions to every country that have nuclear power to keep them from bombing us. I have a full-time job, over minimum wage and still bring home less than my mother's SSecurity so how can i save for retirement or healthcare? Our police/fire departments have all been cut due to lack of money. Major factory closings that force people into low income jobs due to economy cuts.. i can name 100 more problems i see

Ummm. I do.

As for war being good for the economy, that goes without saying, and I'll explain it. Military armaments and military spending is just about the only good and service that CANNOT be consumed by the American consumer. Every other good and service is created by a worker, sold by an entrepreneur, and bought by a consumer. Sales taxes are raised to fund local and state governments. Armaments and military spending is your tax money going down a really deep black hole with no end in sight. The only benefactors of military spending are the stockholders of corporations that hold government contracts to make stuff that's only purpose is too either kill, or sit around in a munitions depot until it is needed to kill.

I am not anti-military, but I am anti-lying S.O.B.s who are trying to pull the wool over the American taxpayers eyes. Military spending crowds out consumer spending, just like high interest rates crowd out borrowing by businesses and consumers. We need a certain amount of military support, to protect American soil and Americans abroad, but don't pretend that the military is the be-all and end-all of the purpose of the Federal Government.

Your concerns are similar to many who have experienced this decade of events.

Nothing you said I can differ with.

Yet, I don't see where the Democrats can make much of a difference.

Funny thing, a coworker was going over all the things he expects to receive when he retires. I just smiled and said, keep dreaming. All we got is the here and now.

And for now, all I got is a bunch of people I never met that I communicate with because the weather is lousy and I don't feel like going anywhere.

That's not what the Republican party used to stand for, it's what Bush has turned the party into. He's on a power trip and makes all Republicans look bad with his rhetoric and bad decision-making skills. The problem is now we have other politicians that are acting like him and it's this horrible spiral downward. This is why 40% of people are Independent. There's no one to trust, Republican or Democrat, anymore.

For starters, Communists are far left not right.

1. Don't know what you are talking about
2. Both parties do that
3. Economy has done pretty good since the tax cuts
4. Health care is not a right and it isn't up to the government to provide it for everyone.
5. Yes they favor business interests rather than environmental
6. You must be thinking of democrats. They are the ones that want to limit religious expression.

You're speaking of the Neo-ConMEN, they aren't true republicans but rich warmongering democrats in disguise! The true republican, Dr. Ron Paul is NOTHING like what you mentioned. Seriously- look him up!

I totally agree. The sad part is the ones that aren't really high-income that are brainwashed into believing that the (R)'s would improve their situation in any way.
