I do not believe the formation of the country has led to the problems that country is facing now. Surely America has a huge part in this saga considering they funded Saddam Hussein and helped put him in power so they could have an ally against Iran hence the Iran-Iraq war. Secondly as there have been numerous reports that have proved that Iraq had nothing to do with Sep 11 or had WMDs we must assume that Americsan money and lives are being lost not because England helped form a country decades ago but because W was a bit hasty in his religious fervour to start a crusade.

"Since the UK created the country of Iraq why is it the US has to pay with lives and money to clean up the mess"

Since it was the US that made the mess, why is it that British soldiers are paying with their lives.

The US created the mess Iraq is in today through its wanton and relentless bombing of key areas of that country.

The original idea was to bomb Iraq into oblivion from the air, and then walk in victorious without losing a single US life. But it failed to understand that a war involves two opposing sides and at the end of the day, US soldiers will have to confront Iraqis on the ground, hence the continuous loss of US lives.

You cannot hope to fight a war without planning to accept casualties on your side. These are the realities of war and death on the battlefield.

I am uncertain as to why so many people do not yet understand terrorism, the threats to the U.S. or the fact that the U.S. steps up and helps the world more than any other nation.

First off, radical Islamic terrorists murdered thousands of Americans in 2001. The Middle East is a haven for terrorists. Iraq continued to defy all of the policies that were put in place to contain them. Iraq also helped some terrorist organizations. Iraq also controls a large supply of oil that can be used to continually finance terrorism.

Finally the United States decided determined that it could no longer let Iraq continue down the path they were on because it could lead to possible national security risks.

Beyond this, the U.S. also thought that having an ally & democratic nation in the Middle East would be an aid in trying to deter future terrorism.

The United States is battling enemies all the time and all over the world in order to keep us free and prosperous. This is the job of the federal government.

The United States also gives aid to many countries, helps in natural disasters, patrols shipping lanes to keep commerce open, etc. There isn't much that the U.S. doesn't do for the world.

It should be clear the United States is the greatest hope & beacon for freedom in the world and if we did not exist the planet would be run by dictators, terrorists, and facists.

God Bless America

Wow...is this a serious question? because of the fact that whilst has getting invaded count quantity as a carrier? i assume straightforward experience isn't so straightforward. after all... on the exterior, the point of the invasion is the democratization of Iraq and the capture of Saddam Hussein and the destruction of the Al Qaeda. under the rhetoric, it extremely is in all probability the oil and the ought to develop the sphere of impact of the U. S. and the united kingdom to three quantity. and assured to have a springboard for invading Iran.

'It was for the oil' is the knee-jerk reaction. Economics and arithmetic tell a different story.

The war to date has cost more money per annum than the entire Iraqi oil production revenues at peak production rates.

Congress puts the cost of the war at $100 billion/annum. Iraqi oil production revenues run, even at current price highs of around $90/barrel crude, at around $60-70 billion/annum gross. That's excluding extraction and production costs.

It would have been cheaper just to buy the oil.

In the same manner that the British Empire had responsibilities over her colonies, we also have responsabilities over our "colonies". We either choose to let go and lose international prestige and might like England did in the late 1940's or we choose to continue statecraft in our interests.
