Go to your post office. They do the passport applications. And thanks to the government being a monopoly, the prices will be the same, no matter where you go. You *can* spend a bit extra if you want expedited processing.

Passports cost the same no matter what. You can get applications from the post office. You'll have to pay for a passport size photo (approx $5-10) and the actual passport is ($50-100...it was $50 when I got it but that was 9 years ago). Plus if you need it urgently you'll have to pay extra ($50 I think). Just get it...it lasts you 10 years and it is your ticket to the world...an excellent investment.
