YES,I AM A MITSU.TECH.THERE IS A FOUR NUMBER CODE YOU MUST ENTER.TO RESET THE RADIO.YOU MAY HAVE TO REMOVE THE RADIO TO WRITE DOWN THE SERIAL NUMBER IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT ALL-READY.MOST DEALERS WILL HELP YOU GET THIS 4 NUMBER CODE.ALSO IF YOUR BATTERY IS DOWN OR DISCONNECTED.THE MEMORY TO THE RADIO IS LOST.WHEN YOU DO GET THE CORRECT CODE NUMBER,PUNCH THE 1 BUTTON TILL YOU HAVE THE CORRECT NUMBER .DO THE SAME ON 234 .YOU SHOULD SEE THE DIGITAL SCREEN SHOWING THE FOUR NUMBER CODE.AFTER THAT PUSH ON THE C/D
BUTTON.IT SHOULD COME ON.

Check the owners manual to see if the radio code card is in the book between the pages. It's the size of a charge card and red in color. The code may also have been written in the inside cover of the manual. If no code card you will need the numbers off of the tag on the top of the radio which means taking things apart. once you have the serial numbers you will need to find a friendly service writer at a Mits dealer who will look the code number up on the factory dealer web site. He will then have to instruct you how to enter the code into the radio.
Make it easy on yourself and go to the dealer, pay the 1 hour labor and don't let the car battery go dead or take the battery cables off for more than a few minutes when replacing the battery or you will need the code again.
