Poorly worded critiques of my downfalls. I mean creative feedback is always needed in a relationship. We test the boundaries of the marriage with new and unique attempts at making a positive impact. Cooking a meal we have never tried before, shaving our long lived mustache off, wearing bell bottoms 20 years after they went out of style. etc.etc... Hearing "way to go Sherlock", "nice try Einstein", What did you do to the computer this time Bill Gates, just never sits well with me. (My wife has never used those, heard them at a comedy club, lol) However, you get the idea. Sticks and stones can break my bones, but you know what? Words do hurt!

When someone looks me dead in the eye, and answers me with a LIE, and I've already done my homework and know the truth before I even asked. Then I am forced to face my pet peeve, a liar, and if I love the person, that hurts because I cannot accept liars in my life as a permanent fixture once I "figure them out".
Lying leads to betrayal, deception, etc....
Lies lead to distrust.
The way I see it, lies wreck everything else in a marriage.

the thing that hurts the most in a relationship is when you lose yourself in them, when you become dependent on them for every thing, when you start thinking you're not good enough as the past relatiohships they've had, when you have kids & they have kids from previous relationships & none together & your kids are made to feel like they're not good enough because theyre not perfect or like their kids. i could go on forever....but i wont

What really hurts the most is knowing that someone loves you with everything they have and you just dont feel the same... Its almost like having everything you ever wanted but not really wanting it anymore. Confusing, but true...

When feeling/being ignored. This makes me feel that the relationship is only based on what he wants, when he wants. That I am not important enough in his life to be a priority. That my wants and needs will only be important when he says so. It makes me feel unloved.

I think what hurts the most sometimes...is saying things in the heat of an argument....and you can't take it back...You can apologize....but what was said can never be forgotten..

Having the one who "loves" you say so many nasty hateful things to you when fighting then the next day act like those words should still be hurting because they were said in angry. My azz

the one thing i hate about being in love is that you are vulnerable to that other person. they hold the power to hurt you or love you. you may think all is going well, but you never know what may really be going on in their mind.

Lies... It then makes it difficult to trust... Then I will ??? If what the person says is a lie (big or small is does not matter) It hurts to be lied to... It is such a betrayal!!!
