Our laws are applicable to anyone that commits a crime in this country. The rights in our justice system also apply. I'm not talking about diplomatic immunity,that is altogether different.

What do you need clarification about. Anyone arrested here is entitled to the rights of our legal system, Regardless of citizenship.

Yes I know it......just as we are subject to their laws when we go over to another country!

I don't think you are totally correct that anyone has all the rights US citizens have ( I think Miranda rights for example and the duty to inform only apply to US citizens) but there are laws that indeed apply to every person in US custody regardless where and what the status of that person is.

International and U.S. law prohibits torture and other ill-treatment of any person in custody in all circumstances. The prohibition applies to the United States during times of peace, armed conflict, or a state of emergency. Any person, whether a U.S. national or a non-citizen, is protected. It is irrelevant whether the detainee is determined to be a prisoner-of-war, a protected person, or a so-called “security detainee” or “unlawful combatant.” And the prohibition is in effect within the territory of the United States or any place anywhere U.S. authorities have control over a person. In short, the prohibition against torture and ill-treatment is absolute

That is true; the rights are inherant to all human beings and when someone is arrested a judge (no comments of level of actual clarity in re to judgement within this post) decides the risk involved in regard to whether or not the person who is "allegedly" charged with a crime poses a distinct risk to the populace. It is at this point when the potential danger is assessed and then the decision to keep the person in jail is stated.

The US Constitution applies to US citizens only!!!!

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

To ourselves and our posterity.. this means for us and our children, grandchildren, etc. not for foreign nationals, they should get their own!!!!

Real Americans do. Its only the right-wing that wants those rights for themselves, while denying them to others. But then, they don't suport the Constitution on anything else, either (except the right to run around carrying a ugn).

That's how things used to be. Then Bush scared the rights right out of America. Bush found a loophole to human rights and international law. Aren't we proud... What a scumbag. Bush gives Christians a bad name. The USA is becoming known as "The Nation of Torture". Thanks Bush.

Nope.

Our rights do not apply to all, just because they are inside our national boundaries.

Those rights have not even applied to those where our national boundaries have been extended. (Look up "the Insular Cases")
