LAST MEMORY by arquette

if i died tonight

would they notice

if i died tonight

would they care

if i died tonight

they'de never take me for granted

but then...

it would be too late

if i fell down that shaft

to the vast darkness

that surrounds me

would it hurt

if i slit that blade

to draw the blood

would it hurt

if this was all an accident

would it still hurt

so i ask you now...

would you still take me for granted

if you knew all this could happen to me

would you cry

if it did

would you care

would you remember

how you treated me

would you know

if it was all your fault....

or try to forget

the truth

All teenagers feel that way and you will live through it . Most of the time it is because they were just rejected by " the one " when they haven't been around long enough to find that one yet . Trust in this time may not bring wisdom but it does give a sense of prospective because it makes you see that the world is not a static picture it is a movie or to update that not mpeg it is wmr . just sit back and enjoy the ride and remember that when bad things happen it will make you appreciate the good things that much more !

It's really good. You have a way with imagery and words. I think it's saying that you feel unappreciated or even unnoticed by your parents and friends. Suicide is a cheap shot at trying to manipulate a guilt trip on others. Remember, though, that taking your own life is no one else's fault. It's a choice you make and therefore it can be only your own fault.

In my opinion What it's saying is

"Here, I am, feeling singular and depressed."

I don't strictly see it as a self pity party, but certainly a call for some attention.

On a very personal note, I'd hope it isn't a warning note, but it might be very narrowly directed at someone, or persons, and hopefully it has been, or will be shared with them. I say that because I feel as if you've alluded to the fact that someone should feel guilty for being unaware of you.

Yes, I like it alot!!! This is a great poem!!!

If something bad happened would the people who took them for granted care and regret how they treated them, neglected them. It's asking would those people feel bad when the person is gone, would they wish they hadn't done whatever they did.

I don't think it is depressing at all. And I don't think it is a suicide note.

That's really deep but I like deep so I thought it was good. It seems to me like you feel invisible and taken for granted and that maybe you have alot of resentment towards someone who has hurt you. even though I like deep it is a tad bit depressing.

I think it's fantastic. Really depressing though. It seems like your trying to say that you wonder if anyone would notice if you died. Like, if anyone would actually care.

i see this as a cry for help. No don't get the wrong impression, like i think your a suicidal person, but a cry for attention. you could use a hug or a good cry, as corny as it seams, it works.
Best of Luck!

If this is a suicide note don't even think about it. Life goes on for those who are still alive.
