I am a senior in high school, and this past weekend my mom went out of town. Friday night i had a party with about 50 people at my house, which went all night without a hitch (there was alot of drinking and some marijuana use involved). Saturday night, I hosted another party, which was broken up by 3 cops about 2 hours in. They said that they had recieved a call from the neighbors regarding the noise (I don't know which neighbors). They had us dump all of the alcohol and let the guests leave. They then took down my sister and my names, ages, birthdays, and phone number. They then told us that they would be watching the house, and the next time would result in an arrest. It is now Sunday, and my mom has returned. We have not been caught. I would like to know how long I need to wait before having another party. P.S. please take this question seriously, thanks!

wait a couple of months, but have a beer room in the basement or something so if the cops come just lock it up and they cant really charge you with anything

You might want to consider coming clean. The cops (or that nosy neighbor) could call your mom. If you don't think that is going to happen. Then I'd say wait at least a month. And be careful next time. Make sure people car pool so you don't have too many cars out front and try to keep the noise down.

You are not too smart are you? The cops let you off with a warning, and you are going to ignore that, and throw it in their face, The neighbors have been nice enough not to mention this to your parents. With your attitude, your parents need to be informed.

LOL - You do realize that the neighbor that reported you is going to talk to your mother. Your best bet here is to head this off and tell her yourself.

I should also point out that even if your mother isn't there. She CAN be held responsible for the underage drinking and any criminal charges will fall to her, not you or your sister.

Think about your actions!

i'd be careful if i were you. maybe if you told your guests to keep it down next time you wouldn't be in this predicament. when is mom going out of town next? she will find out, if she hasn't been told by your neighbors already. which is worse,
the cops or your mom? i'd say mom, cops go away, moms don't.

Next time, party with your parents home to chaperone.

Or wait until you have your own place.

Neighbors were probably cutting you slack on Friday night. But you pushed it on Saturday.

Are you for real or what, did you not learn from your contact with the police. I would have arrested you and contacted your parents and recommended a juvenile court appearance.
