Did you see how nice Belichick was to Mangini? Didn't seem very spiteful did he? Had a smile on his face the entire time and went straight to Mangini and said "Great game... awesome game, you did a great job." Exact words... with no tinge of sarcasm in his voice at all, sounded very sincere. This demonization of Belichick is the media's fault. As a fan from New England you watch him deal with the media and he gives them nothing but football... and they absolutely hate it. It's all football... won't answer any other questions and walks out when he wants too. Is his personal business anyone elses but his own? No. You've even seen this year after games when he goes to embrace a Head Coach after the game the camera person turns away. It's because they want him to look like the bad guy. It's the media and the fans that want to buy into it. Fans buy into it because they win all the time. Although I probably care more about what people think about Belichick then he does himself... haha.

Nope Bill Belichick does a good job of doing that all by himself.

The negative comments are from people that are jealous of the Pats. They did'nt do anything that every other team in the league does. Mangini was Belichick's protege, and he wanted to show the world that the "student could take down the teacher". Well, Coach B showed him again today, that the teacher is still smarter. The Pats did'nt play their best game, but they MANAGED the game. That's what wins games. So, jealous folks, LIVE with it!!!

I'm no fan of the Pats, but I do agree with you. Being a head coach, especially of such a high profile program, is these days as much about being a good PR guy than being an actual coach. Belichick isn't one to do that. As a result, he looks bad to the public through the press.

I agree with you but I also don't care what "people" think. Nobody likes a winning team except the fans of that team. The media loves to create a story. The hate for the patriots makes more people watch them. It's great for ratings. Don't worry about what other people think. Enjoy watching the Pats win while it lasts.

Yes, the media hates anybody who doesn't talk to them. That's why people like TO are adored by the media, and Belichick is manipulated to look bad. It's a mutual relationship and if you don't help the media, they will do a lot more than just not help you.
