(kidnap)did we over react?

Question

ok so me and my was walking home from school.we took the back rode cause my boyfriend lives that way.but anyway these two guys slowed down but didnt stop and asked us were some street was(my friend said she heard an address but i dident) anyway the address she said she heard was not a address were we live(her dads a cop so she said she would know) so we turned around and ran with our book bags and then they turned around and stopped we kept running until they left.we decide that if we saw them again we would drop our bookbags and run like hell.we saw the van and took off we were so scared we dident drop our book bags we just couldn't somehow.then as we were running my fried said "we dont want to lead them to our house were so we go what do we do!"i saw a fence and just said "this way"!.we jumped the fance(i dont know how we did with our bookbags but somehow we did) and kept running home.evantulay we lost them and both got home saftley.THANK GOD!!!but did we over react?

was it kidnappers or just two guys asking for directions!

I'm thinking they were kidnappers, since they turned around and stopped. You absolutely did the right thing. Adults really know that they should not be asking unaccompanied kids for directions, even if they are really genuinely asking for directions - and especially because it was a van, I think that was a red flag. The bottom line, is that you should never question your first instinct, you need to trust your gut feelings.

those were kidnappers. why the heck would they ask two girls who are walking where a street is?! you're not driving! besides they kept following and kidnappers use vans soooo........ you totally did not overreact
