The Wii is OK for some games, but for serious gamers, go with the PS3.
The Wii's best games are Zelda, Mario and Wario Ware, which uses the wiimote. Other than that, the other games are pretty blah.
The PS3 allows people to play online against each other, a major downfall for the Wii, and the graphics are amazing, though still not up to the 360's standards.

YES!! I think the Wii is much better than the PS3, well that's my opinion, look at the other answers then you decide.

Yes it is. You get more exercise on the wii plus to me the PS3 is not much different than a ps2, mean it plays blu rays and stuff but blu rays from looking at stores that showed them they don't look different from regular dvds. Plus even people who don't like video games are more interested in the wii because it is like playing games in real life, I have noticed this with some of my friends who hate video games, they love the wii though because it is like a real life play, especially bowling it is like your really bowling.

i like the wii more than the ps3 but ps3 is deffinetley better in almost every aspect

For the price you pay it's alot better than ps3.
