there is a mean side they kill just like we do but I think the fact that we arn't dolphins give a sence of ceriosity.

there many theories about this. first why do we like dolphins so much? scientifically we are both mammals, both have a higher intelligence level and we live in totally different domains. so on the few actions we see each other (dolphins and humans being each other), there is a spark of interest. one fact the people don't hear about is the dark side of dolphins to each other and they have been known to kill there own kind in competition. most of the time this does not happen but it still does sometimes. but us (humans) not being the same spices as them seems to be a boundary to this aggression. it is the same thing with people do you now hear about murder after murder on the news? another reason I don't watch it much. also look at how similar we are considering that we live in two different parts of the world. we both have language, live in society, both have competition, and some would be funny and say we both enjoy sex.

spiritually you could say thy ere is a magical bond between some animals (humans included). dogs, dolphins, some elephants, monkeys, SOME birds, wolves, and rare cases of different cats and even lizards. but these are the most rare of cases.

this is my input along with information from diffrent sites and other yahoo answers questions & answers.I'll add a site to look at for more reading.

Dolphins are not nice. They gang rape lone single female dolphins. They play with fish so that the youngsters can eat them. When a woman enters the water, male dolphins get very excited if she is ovalting.

I'm not sure they really are. They can sometimes be pretty aggressive, and are the only mammals known to us who have some males who rape female dolphins. Those in captivity, or those who are in their natural environment that have frequent with friendly humans seem nice, but I've experienced aggressive behavior from a few that was directed towards me. Let me tell you, they have a lot of sharp teeth in their mouths.

They are intelligent and cute but it doesn't mean that they're nice.
Most wild dolphins are actually very aggressive.
and they can get very deadly when they think your a threat.
but they're very smart remember so if your not trying to threat them then they will now.
only domesticated dolphins are 99% nice.
non domesticated are more prone to violance.

They're nicer than the killer whales. I've swam with them when I went to Florida and they are the nicest animals. I can't believe thousands are mass-murdered every year in Japan. Poor things.
