BUT my wife just taped the seat to the toilet. LOL

I can't blame the son anymore, he's gone.

Well the guy has to lift it up everytime he goes, so the woman should just put it down everytime she goes right? That's what I think. It's only fair.

Just start peeing all over the seat the first time she sits down on a wet seat I'm sure the tape will come off. It is her responsibility to check the seat before she sits down it's not your fault. I personally keep the seat down always and have got good at threading the needle.

I do not put the toilet seat down. I don't understand why women make such a fuss about it. Why isn't up the "correct" position? I think women should put it back up when they are done. Same amount of effort either way. I'd say it depends on the guy. But I would have to guess that most do not.

I'm a guy, and I put the seat down.

I prefer to have it down, but I really don't see why there has to be such a fuss over it. I think life is too short to let little things like this bother you.

Okay, I'm sure some women are going to rake me over the coals for saying that.

More than the number of women who lift the seat when they are finished.

I always put both the seat and lid down, it stops my toothbrush falling in :)

Not many, I have a husband and son.My son has a hard time aiming straight which drives me crazy. He is 6'3"tall so the toilet is far away from his reach.

The guys I know do, because the polite thing to do (for everyone) is leave the bathroom with the lid down.
