when someone purposely tells you something that they know is not the truth. i would say bending the truth could be considered a lie. i don't believe that is it a lie to tell someone one thing and find out that it is wrong later because you never knew that you where wrong.

Key words are DELIBERATE, DECIEVE and PART because even "white lies" are lies.

when you say something thats not true AND something you dont feel right that you said that . like come on if you told a lie and you didnt care then techniclly its not a huuge thing for you..so in my opinion if you dont care about your lie then its not a true lie.
