Ok, I ditched my friends on Monday and I'm totally alone now ... but I prefer it that way. I'm not saying I'm going to be like a loner or anything, it is just that I prefer having no drama or arguments. I just go for walks around the school and talk to someone then move on, it isn't really that bad. I just don't feel I'm totally over my last friends, it is kinda weird not having them around but I don't miss them, I just feel strange not having them there. How do I get totally over them so I can start making new, stable friends ?

It's just going to take some time. I don't think there is really anything you can do to speed up the process but just keep talking to other people as you are walking around. When you make new friends the old ones will just be some bad memories.

Sometimes the best way to get over anything in life to start over with something new, the minute you find new friends and start talking and laughing the less and less you will think of the old ones. The only reason you think so much about the old friends is because you now have much more alone time. The more time you spend alone the more time you will have to think.

Get involved in a sport or attend the games, or find a club of your interest. The busier your mind is the less time your mind will wander and there are also puzzle books that can keep you challenged and keep your mind sharp and busy at the same time.

Good Luck and just one question, why would you desert your old friends? Did they do something THAT BAD????

You are doing it right. Expand the people you speak to. Look around and see who you respect. Start conversations with them. Ask THEM about THEM. They will like that.

Don't come on too strong or they will think you are weird. Enjoy getting to know new people and then pick which ones you think you can have as friends.

Have patience -- you're doing the right things. There is no quick way to totally get over people. It will happen by itself if you keep doing what you're doing.
