I think because they are so unhappy with their lives that they do not open their mind to learning something new or making friends on here. I had thought that too at one point but thanks to my dear friend Breezey, she has opened my eyes to the reality of all this, and not only have I met some excellent people, you sawman being one of them, and I also learn something everyday on here too. Personally who gives a rats behind what other people think about what we do with our free time? It is ours to do with what we wish! I think we are answering questions and helping people and learning new things and making some wonderful friends along the way. We could be doing a lot worse things my dear friend I think this is safe and informative and personally I enjoy it!

You make a very good point. However, believing in a flying pink elephant is more than likely going to effect your life in a very negative way unless your elephant preaches love, acceptance of others and peace. If your elephant gives you peace and solace in a chaotic world and a moral compass to live by, hell, I'll see you on the mountain top Sunday morning.

Some people are way too closed minded for their own good to see that this is a good way to learn different things and make some friends as well.

I enjoy this for social interactions. I do learn new things, and different perspectives. I laugh when someone asks me where I find the time. Ha, they are watching T.V.
