For months now, I have noticed my eyes are blood shot when I wake up. I don't wear contacts and no, I am not partying either.

I also have been experiencing episodes of intense heat that instantly radiates from my mid back and a little from my thyroid area too. I get these sometimes several times a day and at night.

I am not thinking to much about this, it is happening and it is getting worse.

I enjoy good health, but I am not foolish when things are not normal I want an answer.

Hormones, nope, you are not on the right track with that.

I am wondering if this is a thyroid condition? I have heard that many women over a certain age have thyroid problems. Anybody have info.?

Don't worry - be happy.

You probably have episodes during the night where you eyes are open and so become dry, as some people do.

You can get special lubricating eye products (not just eye drops) that may help. They generally come in a gel like form.

Heat from the mid back - OH - you may have hormones that can contribute to episodes of hot back - I have seen it before.

Hot thyroid? I think the mostly likely thing is you are thinking too much that you have something seriously wrong with you.

If you are truly, truly concerned see a physician. Otherwise, enjoy the good health that you have.
