I lived in one when I was a kid. The ghost pulled mine and my sisters' hair a few times! There were also apparition sightings, cold spots and funny odors. But I loved that place and it's been 27 years since I lived there, and I miss the house so much! ( I still have dreams about it, too!)

I have relatives that have moved out of a property because of a poltergeist. My parents have friends and family that they visit in Northern Ireland. In the country. There is a myth, or superstition, about the Blackberry Bush. There is a spirit of a fairy that lives with it. You should never, never, cut one down. It brings bad luck. Opposite where my parents were staying there is an empty bungalow. Set in about an acre of garden. Most of it cleared to make way for a drive. It was purchased by an American couple that renovated it to have as a holiday home. They were warned not to cut down the Blackberry bush in the front garden. The advice was ignored. Once the property had been renovated and fitted out with furniture etc they left back for the states. They returned later in the year for their well earned break. They didnt even spend the night there. On entering the property the furniture in the lounge was flying, literally. Since then the property has been boarded up and the couple have never stayed there. That is true regardless of any thumbs down i may get.

The house I lived was haunted. I shall tell you the whole story. the house at one time was two flats upper and lower, the upper flat lived a yound couple, she had a young baby, the fellar she was living with, decided to leave her for another girl, she was in the middle of cooking his breakfast when he told her. It was at the time when london was supplied with coal gas, she decided to commit suicide, by putting her head in the gas oven, the baby was in the cot, the family in the lower flat could hear the baby crying but could get not any answer, they called the police, the police broke down the door and entered the flat to find the young lady dead. The girls parents were informed, they came and took the baby away. the young lady always returned, although I have seen her, but you always knew she was there because of the smell of frying eggs and bacon. When we took the house over, we made it a single made the two flats into one house, both my sisters-in-laws have seen the young lady because that room that the baby was in, thayboth have been woken up by this young lady leaning over them, and the was in the place where the cot was. Hence neither of them would stay at our house anymore we found out from friend of that family. That that baby had grown up to be very lovely lady. But did not know where she lived...............Jason W

No. my house is definitely not haunted. I'm not sure that I believe in it all. I've worked nights for many years, in some of the most supposedly haunted places in cheshire, and never seen anything. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see something, but, I never have.

Well not this house but my apartment could have been haunted. After we moved a few months later we heard that near our house by the creek a body was found and the head was found a couple yard away from the body as if it was throw away. I was really scared to hear this!

I usually hate answering questions like this because its a sort of contradiction. I have to mix my world of reality with that of fantasy.
I guess in the end I have to say that I don't know about the afterlife etc, but that what I will describe now actually happened.
I was born in the Gloucester in a house, not a hospital. Mant strange things happened here, noise in the night, bath taps turning on by themselves etc.
Two quick stories. My dad worked in London and travelled home at weekends arriving late on friday night. One friday, it was late and my mum my self and 3 sisters were eagerly waiting dads return. Suddenly there was a loud bang, from the passage. After searching the house, my mum found nothing but got frightened and took us kids up to the bedroom, where she locked us in. Shortly after we heard the front door open, footsteps acroos the passage and my dad's cough as he walked up the stairs. My opened the door to find no one there!
In a panic, she barricaded the door with a wardrobe and we all sat huddled together, when about 20 minutes later, we heard the same thing. Front door opened and closed, footsteps across the corridor and up the stairs, my dad's cough. This time it really was him!
The second story is when my older sister was playing with matches! She called me upstairs to loft room to explain that she had seen a woman in a the attic!
I went with her. In one of the attic rooms is a small door which just gives you a view of the beams and rafters of the roof. She explained she had opened the door and lit a match to see a woman there. I did the same and saw nothing at first, the flame slowly burnt down the nearly to my fingers, but I felt no fear as I suddenly saw the face of an old woman appear. The match burnt out and I lit another, this time I just saw a hand appear and cover the face then it all vanished! We did later find out that an old woman had died in that house.
This was all a long time ago, and a few years ago I went to visit that house. It is a guest house as it was when we had it, and I was able to stay the night. In the morning I got talking to the owners, who told me that they had not believed in ghosts or the supernatural before they bought the house, but that on their first night there, the 6 year old daughter had to sleep in the same attic room and was nervous about being alone.
However in the morning she told her mum she was not frightened anymore because of the nice old man who sits in the rocking chair watching her all night!

We use to live in a house that we used to have poltergeist, instead of ghosts actually. There could of been ghosts too, although I had never seen one, but my dog and cat use to stare at the bookcase in the living room every evenning. Our TV use to go on and off by it self, and I would here the voices of children laughing and playing outside my bedroom window at night. Im talking eleven, or twelve at night, and there were NO children out at that time. Also my youngest daughter one day was trying to reach a glass in the kitchen, and since she couldnt reach it, it slowly moved over to her hand on the shelf, where she could reach it. She told me that one day, and she was serious. I did not doubt her for a minute, because other things happened in the house too. Doors and windows would open and close by themselves, not to harm anyone, but sometimes to help us actually. One night it was cold, and I went in my sons room to close the window, and it was already closed. My son the next morning, thought I closed it, we both knew something else in the house did besides us. One night it was raining outside, and I got up to let the dog in the back door, and before I got there, the door opened itself, and my German Shepherd walked in. Other things happened as well, but I dont have enough room to write it all. We never felt threatened though. I did learn later on that years ago, there were Indian wars there from our street down to Cibelo Creek which was about a mile from our house. My son also told me one day that his friends house across the street had similar happenings to them as well, which made me feel as though I wasnt crazy at least. We have moved since then about five blocks away, with no problems in our new house and we have been here seven years now!

My son, he was 2, and I were taking a shower. I got out to get dressed while he stood under the water and played like we usually do. I was drying off when he started to scream and try to jump out of the bath tub through the curtain I threw open he curtain in time to catch him before he vaulted out. He was inconsolable and wouldnt stop screaming "don't get me bleeding!! Dont get me BLEEDING!" i was freaked out I had to shut off the water while he was freakin out then we went into the other room where I was drying him off and asking him what happened. Finally he was calm and told me that there was a guy (he said like daddy because he was just learnin the difference between boy and girl) in the shower who was bleeding. I asked him where this guy was bleeding from and he pointed to his head and I asked if the man had blood all over or just on his head and he said all over. After that my son would not take a shower or bath in my bathroom for almost 2 weeks, I had to take him to my mothers house. I got him to take a shower by telling him the guy wasnt scary, he really didnt believe me so I told him to beat the guy up and he would punch out by the wall before every shower and bath!!! It was very freaky. And now he is 3 1/2 and he sometimes talks into the heater vent. He had also saw his dead Grandpa at his Grandmas house.

not scared if the spirit is friendly, this one is just opening cupboard doors and puts some of my son's toys on the floor once in a while in the night
