in DNA identification. If so..how?
also, if it cant, what are examples of how chromatography is used in biology

links would be helpful
thanks

There are several types of chromatography. Paper chromatography is used to separate small organic compounds. Column chromatography is used for larger molecules. High pressure liquid chromatography can be used for many different kinds of molecules from small molecules to protein. DNA is usually too large to be separated by chromatography.

I haven't really covered the use of chromatography for anything other than protein separation and identification yet but I have come across research papers stating that DNA can be separated using high performance liquid chromatography and ion exchange chromatography - hope this helps

A sort of chromatography - capillary electrophoresis is used for
DNA sequencing (look at first link).

Chromatography is commonly used in biology for purification of proteins and nucleic acids and other cellular components. One can use it even to purify different types of cells.

Three most popular kinds of chromatography are:
- gel filtration - separates by size
- ion exchange chromatography - separates by charge
- affinity chromatography - separates by the ability of binding to the specific compounds e.g. proteins or cells can be purified using specific antibodies.

Chromatography is used to find the components of a substance. When you are looking into DNA, you are looking for patterns, and comparing patterns to other patterns. You are not looking for a composition of substances per se.

i studied in my schools not remember fully Chromatography: It is the technique to remove Impurities ,in wich the material is coated with an chromotography paper and washed with a solvent, simply we can say that the sepration of a mixture by passing it through a material which some parts of the mixture travel further than others.
