A walk in the countryside sounds good! It's only for this year, I will have one next. Promise. I'm not a Scrooge I'll still get my son prezzies, it's just a personal thing.

Yeah go for it. In fact i aint celebrating it after this year because it does my head in. All you have to do is take a nice quiet walk in the countryside on christmas day. Theres no hope of you getting involved then.

At your home, yes. Everywhere else probably not. My children did not behave, ok they were rotten brats, right before easter, so in my home I cancelled Easter, I also cancelled their birthday party, so now they are behaving better. except my youngest squirted out a brand new tube of toothpaste this morning and distroyed my living room, and ruined our tree so I had to take it down, and threw food all over, and ran outside into a foot of snow naked, but that is being good in comparison to easter so they will still get christmas here.

My husband and I were going to cancel Christmas this year since we don't have any money but found out we had the kids this year. So We are just getting the kids a few things and nothing for ourselves.

i assume a minimum of they're doing something to provide up the closet terrorists...if purely they might see the actual risk comes from people no longer washing their palms after utilising the bathing room nonetheless and pass away poor St. Nick on my own!
