Can someone explain me how to graph the inverse of a function on a TI-83 plus. example x = y + 2, I know the inverse is y = x - 2. I am using my TI-83 plus, how can I graph the inverse of y = x^2, I know that on my TI-83 on
Y1 = X^2
Y2 = ? I just need to know what to input on Y2, thanks for anyones help

The inverse of y = x^2 is y = sqrt(x).

The inverse of x^2 is

+/- sqrt(x)

so to truly get the inverse you actually need to input two functions

Y2: sqrt(x)

Y3: -sqrt(x)
