FIRST: Nominate judges to the Supreme Court that know how to interpret the Constitution and not legislate form the bench, that's Congresses job.

SECOND: Push for a line item veto. Veto an spending bill with earmarks.

THIRD: Tell the world we love and support peace and trade. If they want to attack us, to do so will be at their peril. (Walk softly and carry a BIG stick)

FOURTH: Lead the people into believing that ABOLISHING THE IRS IS IN THEIR BEST INTEREST and that something like the FAIR TAX is much better because everyone will pay their fair share. The IRS shouldn't have the power to take your house, savings, and throw you in jail over taxes! Not to mention the hassel of having to do all that paperwork every year or pay someone to. What business is it of the IRS where and what you do with YOUR money? At least a retail tax at the cash out line is anonymous and EVERYBODY PAYS, unlike drug dealers, illegals, and those who dodge through the loopholes now.

FIFTH: I would encourage everyone to get involved in their local affairs like school boards, PTA, etc, Our children are THE FUTURE. If they aren't well educated, we are doomed! Then everyone should vote. If you don't vote you have no room to complain. But be informed. Listen and learn.

SIXTH: I would tell Congress to balance the budget, because we will no longer spend more than comes in. That's it! If they insist on the contrary, out comes the VETO pen! I can manage my finances, why can't they? (Oh, I KNOW why!)
They are too busy lining their pockets and those of their supporters who voted them in so they could get FREE MONEY and keep reelecting them!

SEVENTH: Work hard to see that it is possible for "Joe Doakes", of average financial status, to run for the office of President. It is asinine that only people with piles of $$$ are able to run.

EIGHTH: I hope I would know when to SHUT UP and stop writing about stuff I really can't do anything about!!!!

I would veto every double edge bill, the ones where they try to sneak in a little bad law in with the good ones.

Start rescuing our own people in disasters the way we rescue the other countries.

I don't know how to solve Iraq today, but 15 years ago I was "unhappy" when the armies marched all the way up to the gates of Baghdad and quit. With all those dead Kurds fresh on every body's mind we could have had a much better defined enemies

OMG! First thing is massive illegal immigrant sweep. I'd declare a one week national holiday so that all citizens can help get those illegals out.

Second, Line Item Veto

Third, Constitutional ammendment limiting the number of terms a Congressman can serve.

Fourth, eliminate income tax and institute a flat sales tax.

Fifth, legalize drugs... gotta let the dummies clean the gene pool. If they OD, they OD.

Sixth, legalize prostitution... who cares if someone wants to pay for sex. Most men do anyway. Gotta buy dinner, jewelry, etc...

I would outline a 12-step program as follows:

12. Take the 'CON' out of Congress by paying members of Congress the same salary the lowest PFC in the Army earns. Put them in barracks, provide them only with bare essentials, and take away all their lavish salaries, perks, retirement benefits, health care and status, and establish strict term limits for all elected officials and bureaucrats;
11. Modify our education system so that all children get equal education opportunities instead of 'wealthy' school districts given Olympic-size swimming pools while ghetto schools go without windows and heat;
10. Minimize prison sentences for all but the most heinous of criminals, opting for rehabilitation and replacement into the community instead;
9. Outlaw all lobbyists, even the 'good' ones;
8. Put all doctors and lawyers on the government payroll so that all Americans have access to equal legal and medical advice, regardless of their ability to pay;
7. Put an end to all corporate welfare programs and replace it with a 50% tax on ALL corporate profits;
6. Provide health care for ALL Americans who are not covered by an employer's insurance program, or who can not afford health care or insurance on their own, by offering it free to every household earning less than $75,000 per year;
5. Return America to our U.S. Constitution, and mandate that all other government activities be abolished;
4. Impose a personal 50% tax on all households earning more than $200,000 per year;
3. Nationalize pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, law firms, doctors' offices, and any other corporations that manufacture or distribute products or services that now profit handsomely from other people's misery or troubles;
2. Eliminate all government fraud, waste, 'earmarks', and other unecessary spending, as well as 90% of all government functions (almost all of which are not Constitutional anyway);
1. Abolish the federal income tax on all households earning $45,000 per year or less.

Once we get the government on this 12-step program, perhaps we can work on dealing with all its other addictions, such as nepotism, the giant military-industrial complex, illegal 'wars' and everything else our government squanders taxpayers' dollars on without our consent. -RKO- 12/16/07

I would veto every spending bill that came my way that included spending for things not specifically authorized in the Constitution.
