what is the sec(240), the value. how would you do that?

In trigonometry, secant = 1 / cosine. Assuming 240 is 240 degrees rather than 240 radians, cos(240) = cos(360 - 240) = cos(120) = -cos(180 - 120) = -cos(60) = -1/2. So sec(240) = 1/ (-1/2) = -2.
