You can take the police to his house and ask for your TV back but you better have proof that the TV belongs to you. And that's only if the police are willing to get involved in a domesticated dispute. If i were you i would call the police and tell them that you separated from your husband and you took some of your things but the TV.Tell them that he refused to let you take it even though it is yours and you have the papers to prove it's your TV. Tell them he won't give it up so that's why you are calling them to help you get it back. Also tell them that you only mention that he could have it only if he keeps up the payments and when he told you he wouldn't you told him you want it back. It's your word against your ex so who do you think they will believe. If you want your TV back it is the only way you have a chance to get it back. Police usually take the woman's side 9 out of 10 times.

At this point, the only thing you can do if he refuses to pay for it is continue to pay the note so it doesn't screw up your credit, or you can take him to small claims. Your options are pretty limited at this point. Do you have a receipt for the tv? I wonder if you could call the local police/sheriffs dept and tell them that you need them to escort you to pick up your belongings at your old place, and you need them there to prevent a possible altercation. Bring your receipt and tell your ex you're there to get WHAT BELONGS TO YOU! lol I dunno, it might work. What's he gonna do? Argue with you when you guys have nothing in writing about you giving the tv to him, and the credit card is in your name with this tv showing YOU purchased it.
There's a couple options for you. Good luck : )

You are s.o.l.
You should have never agreed to do that.
If you stop making payments on it, will they take repossession on it? -I'd look into that.
If so, give them the address where they can pick up the t.v.
I wouldn't bother with it unless it is a a huge 60' plasma.
If it is some little television, then just say good riddens.

I am sure you would pay the money it cost for that TV to just leave him and have a happier life. Write it off honey.
If you want to be vindictive, don't pay the money for it anymore, inform the credit card company you have no intention of paying it off and they will send bailiffs round for it. That way, you no longer pay for it, and he know longer has it.
Then go get yourself a new one.

It would be a lot less stressful to just go buy another tv...is it really worth the trouble fighting over a tv?

you take it in divorce decree. If you agree to let him have it, let it be written that he has to pay you for what he hasn't paid, as well as pay you for the tv.
