It is impossible to combine the two chemically. Mixing the two physically will produce the alloy brass. Some metals can be chemically reacted to produce metallic bonds, but not zinc and copper.

You get brass. Pennies don't count even though they are now 90% zinc with a copper coating.

well,
if you have zinc and copper rods or little things and stick them in a lemon it will create electricity. i think they have to touch in the lemon for it to create,
