Don't get a lot of severe weather west of the Cascades... rain, the occasional windstorm, but no hurricanes, tornadoes, few thunderstorms, and heavy snow or ice storms are infrequent.

I'm not sure what severe weather you are talking about. We have snow about once, maybe twice in the winter. Usually under 6 inches. It is bad since the city doesn't really have the ability to plow the snow. Also, there are lots of trees which fall and take out power. We also get a lot of rain, and it can cause flooding. This is all about Seattle. I don't think there is severe weather in Cali or Oregon.

Severe weather? What are you talknig about? The floods? That's like a once every 5 years occurance, for the rest of the time it's mild. Mildly hot, mildly cold, mildly rainly, mildly cloudy, mildly sunny all at once.

Which weather are you asking about?
We get windy and/or floods weather in the fall and spring, lightening storms in the summer, and scattered freezing snaps through the winter.
Pick one or pick them all. The weather is not boring here.
