My Dad gave me his old ipod. I think it's the 1st one that came out. I went to best buy with the ipod and told them what kind of computer I had and they sold the a cable that connects to both. I can't figure out how to upload my music though, the ipod has all of my fathers songs. Please help!!!

put your songs into itunes, which is available to download at apple.ca. Then sync your ipod with itunes by plugging it into the computer.

if you sync the ipod will be erased. if you want to save your father's songs, use a program that copies songs from ipod to your hard drive like ipod copy: www.ipodcopy.com or search cnet.com for ipod copy or ipod backup. mediafour.com or redchairsoftware.com will also do what you want. ilounge.com will list free utilities.
