From where are you coming? Let me know and I can be very specific.
There are several or even many entrance points to the park. Most do not go through the park however.
From the south, if you want to go through the park, get to Cherokee, NC.

You didn't mention where you are starting at, so we could give you specific information.
If you're coming from the northeast side of Atlanta, just take I-85 to I-985 and take it straight up to Cherokee, NC.
If you're on the northwest side of Atlanta, take I-575 which turns into State 515; take the Spur 60 to US 129 and it will take you straight there.
