I agree with Charlize, he folded in that debate, when McCain went against his Iraq war position.
Also, people, why elect a loser? Paul sponsored 68 bills and eight amendments in 2003 and 2004 but none passed, according to the Almanac of American Politics.
It's easy running "against the establishment", and have VERY EXTREME positions, as he does on the Iraq war or immigration. It's very easy to criticize everything, but it's not as easy to UNITE a country that is currently a mess. If he couldn't get anything passed when the country was OK (which means he had no leadership at all), why would he get anything done as president, now that the country is doing so badly?
Being anti-establishment and anti-corruption is very good, but it takes A LEADER to make it happen, not a person who can only stir hatred and disdain onto a very limited group of followers/worshipers, mainly on the Web. DIDN'T YOU SEE HOW HE WAS BOOED WHEN MCCAIN WENT AFTER HIM ON THE DEBATE? IS THAT THE "LEADER" YOU PEOPLE WANT???

First, Irak and Iraq are both correct English spellings for Iraq, only the last one is the one most widely used. (Who's the ignorant now'?).
Second, I SAW THE DEBATE. I saw Ron Paul at a loss of words when McCain went against his weak position of leaving Iraq/Irak immediately. He was scolded like a kid, by McCain, and he couldn't say a word in edgewise. WATCH THE DEBATE'S VIDEO AND SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!.
That was a bad moment for Ron Paul and a great one for McCain, and I don't even care for the latter, since the only rep I like is Giuliani. As I said before, the biggest following Ron Paul has is on the Web, that's why you people are complaining about the truth: He folded against McCain's aggressive attacks.
And I can bet any of you this: Ron Paul will never be the US president, no matter if he runs as a rep, independent, or he creates his own party. It will never happen, so you people might as well find yourselves another pseudo-God to exalt!!

Kudos, Charlize, for having the courage to school the Church of Pope Ron Paul and their internet inquisition!
The man folded like a wet napkin, and rightfully so. McCain is my #1 choice for President, and during the debates, he proved why. He is never afraid to call idiots on their bullshit and he did it to Ron Paul that day.
Even if Ron Paul's idiot supporters weren't mindless sheep who annoy me to no end with their immature rabid ranting, I still wouldn't vote for the man because even if he was, by some miracle of GOD, was elected to the Presidency, he will NEVER be able to implement his changes. Orocarlga was right, the man rants and rails against Washington, but if he's elected, he will have to WORK with these people. And he's clearly shown that his contemptuous attitude and outrageous ideas will never sell to their lot. Unless he plans on dissolving Congress (which is unconstitutional, by the way) and declaring himself king, he will never realize his outlandish dreams of eliminating whole departments of the US government and repealing the 16th amendment.

McCain brought up the Iraq war, on a question unrelated to it. Then alluded that Ron's style of policy allowed Hitler to rise. Clearly a concocted attack, with McCain at best, 5 points ahead, and Paul having the independent votes (28% think highly of Paul), along with some democrat support, McCain knows he's going to lose to Paul at the very least. He had to do something, but this is just ridiculous, coming from the man that once called Paul "the most honest man in Congress".

What do you mean by "no character".
I think he is a "real character"!
It is time people just listen and pay attention to what he is saying about how "we the people" are allowing our government to abuse its powers and twist the constitution into a pretzel.
He isn't alone in knowing our elected officials are out of control! Notice I said elected officials and not LEADERS?
There is a TOTAL lack of REAL leadership in this country!!
Everyone seems to be interested ONLY in grabbing all the money and power they can for themselves and special interest groups and to Hell with everyone else and the future of this wonderful country!!
I'm sure he could have made alot more money if he had stayed in his medical practice, but he cares so much about this country that he returned to congress hoping to make a difference. Look at his voting record. He has never voted to increase his salary or for a tax increase. He is a TRUE constitutionalist (American) and probably won't ever be our president, but he is a sober TRUE patriot who cares deeply about the future of this country!
Unfortunately, there are too many idiots out there that are ONLY interested in what they can grab for themselves and to Hell with everyone else!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!

Not just on the web, but on all post debate polls (including phone-in polls) that were held by Fox News. Ron Paul is always at the top. Even Fox News viewers know the rest are full of it.

That was actual pity being shown by Ron for the ignorant fool. Remember when McCain brought up the issue of WWII and Ron stood there shaking his head in disagreement? It's because Dr. Paul was right.
