Don't tell her, but my 5 year old daughter- she has a major heart defect and is a freaking rock star! 3 open-heart surgeries before 2 years old and she's one cool little chick.

I have had two heroes in my life. One I met when I was 4 years old and he was 17. And, the other I just met in Saint Louis at 59. They are like guardian angels...

No. 1 is Jesus.No.2 is my husband who had prostate cancer at age 52 6 months after being told he had Parkinson's disease.He is a man of Faith and he has never stopped praying and trusting God.Two years ago he had 7 stints placed in his heart over a 5 moth period.He is a fighter and I thank God he is still with me.

hmmm... my teacher. She died of breast cancer last year but came EVERYDAY after chemotherapy to say hi to us, talk to us about our problems or etc. She sent me on this amazing leadership trip as a once in a lifetime trip. Even though she was in so much pain and she herself was dying, she never stopped to try and get anyone to pity her. She just put on her bravest face and kept pushing forward. She really taught me a lot about life.

My Mom! She has ALWAYS been there for me even when I was giving her an extremely rough time as a teenager!! I love her!
