Andrew Johnson was impeached twice but both attempts failed to remove him from office.
He was not as enthusiastic a proponent of Reconstruction as the Radical Republicans that wanted to remove him.
If he would have been removed from office, Blacks may have benefited in the short term from more Reconstruction but it is difficult to see if a long term difference would have been seen for most of the Black population.
