okay im 14 years old and i might be getting braces in the spring/summer... it seems like everyone in my school is getting them off and im just getting them on!! and its gonna be like im the only one with them on!! so do u think ill be okay?

No, your're not too old. You'll be happy in the long run. Better to do them now and get them oer and done with, than to wait until you get older (an adult).

You'll be fine. I got my braces at 14 and my teeth are still beautiful over 20 years later. Forget who has them and who doesn't. That doesn't matter. What matters is straight teeth are healthier teeth: you can clean them more easily and you'll have fewer problems as a result. Just follow your orthodontist's advice.
Considering the number of women I've seen with braces over the age of 30, now seems like a better time rather than later, don't you think?

You're never too old to get braces maybe unless you're a senor citizen but they usually get dentures. Anyway who needs braces are suppost to get them, you're just turned a teenager last year so you're certainly not too old for alot of things. Basically the kids at your school are getting them taking off because their teeth are straight, so they don't need them anymore. Get your braces and get em over with...you won't need them forever.

yes, you'll be ok. I had mine on at 14 also - and had to keep them on for almost 4 yrs. Look forward to when you get them off - it is gonna be great!
btw, there are a lot of older people getting braces.

you are never too old for braces... I was at the store the other day and saw a woman who was about 50 with braces.

No, its fine. A teacher who is 48 years old at my school has braces. Now thats too old.

no you aren't! i have seen people with braces who are way older, and some people even have to have them for their life! now think about that.... i bet u don't care so much that you have to get braces now, do you?

omg i have the same exact problem...im getting them in january and everyone is already getting them off :(
its sucks but im looking forward to a great smile so it'll be worth it :)

yeah u r not to old at all i had them TWICE and i love my teeth.believe me u will be soooo glad u got them after its all over. oh and dont worry about being to old ,my friend's mom has them and she over 30.
