I would first off ask her what you could bring to help out. If you prefer not to ask her then bake up a good dessert. Make sure to add pecans or nuts to the dessert if it calls for it if they aren't allergic and like the nuts...because that shows you aren't cheap and have good taste. Also stick to a dessert that you are best at making. Put it in a cute dish! It might not be the best thing if you turn out making more of what she already has but hey at least you two will know that you have the same great taste (great minds think alike). heheh Just hopefully yours will taste as good as "Mom's".

Happy Holidays blackenx! Why not take an appetizer? I have a great one, it's called "Hot Jezebel"...LOL! I know your smiling now. Seriously though, buy some nice crackers ie; Carr's, Ritz etc...1 block of cream cheese, 1 jar of Apricot jam/preserves, 1 jar of "prepared style" horseradish, pepper to taste. The night before mix jam w/2 TBSP horseradish and 1/4 tsp of black pepper. Cover/refrigerate. Next day when you arrive at bf's moms house put the block of cream cheese on a "decorative/festive" plate/dish (it should be room temperature before serving) pour your "Hot Jezebel" sauce over entire block and surround it with your crackers. XOXO Moonpie P.S. I know it sounds kinda weird, but I've made it dozens of times and it's been a hit every time!

Deserts are always safe, you could bring cookies, brownies, fudge, cake, or whatever.
