Rewrite the equation in slope-intercept form, i.e., y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

(k+2)x- 3y= 1
-3y = -(k+2)x + 1
y = ((k+2)/3)x - 1/3

slope = 2
(k+2)/3 = 2
(k+2) = 6
k = 4, making the equation
y = 2x - 1/3
