I have a recommendation for you which is unique to UAE or Dubai.

This is a desert sand caricature inside an ornamental glass. It's kinda unique in a sense where an expect tradesman will put sands of different colors and will shape it to your name or with a camel and oasis and with palm tree inside the bottle using... yes sands \\!!!

This is a souvenir that will last a lifetime and will always attract attention and marvel with your friends.

Ask you father to vist the Madinat Jumierah souk besides the Burj Al Arab and inside, he will find a small kiosk selling this item and he can have something specially designed and made for you according to your character or likings !!!

Hope he finds it and hope that you will like it !

A female stuffed camel (a teddy bear in the shape of a camel, if that makes any sense!), its a cute camel that looks girly, wears pink and is so nice to cuddle. Its usually found in all souvenir shops in Dubai.

Dubai is called the city of Gold. Try to ask your dad to buy you a gold jewelry..... it might be a good idea. But if your dad hates shopping (like most dads) you can just ask him to buy dates (flavoured ones.. chocs are great!) or Camel stuff toy.... or probably.. he can drop by at Tourism Centre in Deira Creek to ask for a Dubai Book in pictures (its free and if you like books!). Good luck and try to ask you dad specific gift or you might end up something from Duty Free!

there is pretty gold jewelry there .
if you wear gold and he can afford it , ask him to get you a chain and a pendent .
you will love it.
if you would like something reasonable in price , he can choose a souvenir from the duty free shop in the airport.
a mug , a bottle of perfume, a doll , etc.
