After I have held my licensce for 1 year can I carry people under 18 in my car without somebody 18 years or older? Yeah yesterdday a security guard/cop stoped me in a parking lot because i was going to fast(10mph 13mph) and she said my friend was jumping trying to get in which he wasnt he was just running across the parking lot. So I admit that is not so smart It wont happend again. But then she asked for my licesnce and she said that I couldnt carry passengers under 18 and I said that my licesnce said I couldnt carry passengers under 18 for the first 12 months and that the 12 months had passed already which got her even more mad and some how she change the story when my dad got there to pick up the car. So ne ways can I carry people under 18 after i have held my licesnce for 1 year? from what I know i couldnt not carry passengers under 18 for the first year. By the way I live in Los Angeles CA

Provisional driver license restrictions during the first year

After you pass your driving test, you will be issued a provisional driver license. With your provisional driver license, you must be accompanied and supervised by a licensed parent, guardian or other licensed driver 25 years of age or older, or by a licensed or certified driving instructor when you:

* Transport passengers under 20 years of age at any time, for the first twelve months.
* Drive between 11 pm and 5 am for the first twelve months.

Well, here in h-town, i have my provisional licesnse. I cant carry more than one person who isnt family that is under 18 years of age. If they are family i can carry as many as i want.
uhm, i've only had my provisional licesne for a couple of months, but anyways hope this helps. That cop is dumb, i assume since i do not live in california and i do not know the laws over there. You should check online with the dmv in your area and whatknot. Sorry. Just drive cautiosly... SYKE!>...lol
