at any time you need to know how much one currency equals on other currency, you can try this link

but keep in mind that banks and exchange offices use their own conversion rates which should be close to rates on that link.

Its definitely post number 2.
Cause the Loonie (CAD) is nearly on par with the USD, and the Sterling (GBP) is nearly 2.5 times that of the dollar...so anyswer one is very off.
In fact, it looks like he was comparing the USD to the CAD.
