Doesn't sound like a bad idea at all or you could get them gift cards at their favorite store, I have an aunt that does that and I usually get whatever I want and she doesn't have to worry is it the right gift or not.

How about a gift cert. for U 4 what ever u want!!! LOL just playin!! I really think that sounds good but what if they just send their kids or just themselves(parents) I think u should give them something the WHOLE FAMILY has to do 2gether. Don't ask me what yet ? I'm still workin on that part !!!!lol

thought of something how about a star a real star in the sky in the families name or intials from each of their names, however if this seems 2 over the top movie passes r still not a bad idea!!

Yeah.. That's a great gift. For the parents you can buy something for the house. Like a set of dishes. Or desert plates. And for the kids you can get the movie passes.

why would one person want to buy for a family for four anyway? sounds strange to me. If the woman is your friend then you can ask her to lunch sometime after the holidays and pay her bill. Or if you want to drop by at their place over Christmas then just drop off 2 gift certificates for the children (since this year toys are being destroyed that are coming from china). There's no rule in etiquette that says you have to buy for all four, and it seems strange that a woman would be buying something for another woman's husband.

Get the friend the movie passes and include a night of babysitting so that they can have date nights! 2 kids make alone time hard on the parents.

I think that is a very nice idea. Our theater has gift packages that contain 2 tickets, candy and two small refillable popcorn bags. Merry Christmas to my purse friend!

If they have enough money to buy what ever they wish then don't spend any on them. If you must ,then donate time or money in their name to your favorite charity instead!
