Not so much a thicker butt cap as it is just extending the shaft and restapling the butt cap. But to do that I would take it into a proshop. I wouldn't mess with something like that. I have played with 29 inch frames and found that they add to the serve but took away from the net game. More and more now adays you see manufacturers shying away from the extended length frames and going back to the 27 inch frames. They are fine for tennis. You could probably pick up some 28 or 29 inch frames off ebay if you know which ones you wanted fairly cheaply but I wouldn't bother they tend to increase the chance of injury as well due to the increased leverage and torque.

I suppose you could, but I would never do it. If you add length, you will throw off the whole feel of the racquet (balance and swingweight). Remember, the manufacturer's made the racquets their given lengths for a reason.

There's no reason you should need to lengthen your racquet. a standard 27 inch length works fine for anybody. Some people prefer longer racquets, but it is more a preference in how the racquet feels. Racquets aren't made custom lenghts to fit the player.

You certainly could. The problem would be, where to get the thicker butt cap.
