My God, get over it. You might be obsessed with your little Hot Topic heroes, but a lot of us have mature tastes in music by bands who can play their instruments and write lyrics not taken out of angst-ridden teenagers journals.
Some people will like them, some people won't, you don't hear me trying to push my musical tastes down people's throats. MCR's fanbase's obsession with trying to convince people that MCR is not bad is ridiculous (because first off, they clearly are) and second off, it doesn't matter. YOU go enjoy MCR, and keep them away from me.

SJG, I realized it wasn't your answer, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was venting AT you, I meant it more the general MCR fanbase.

Other people call it a "cult" because some fans seem to dedicate most of their time learning things about MCR, enjoying MCR, and listening to MCR. That makes it appear to others (and I'm sure it's true with some people) that some of the fans dedicate their lives to being a fan of My Chemical Romance. (Strangely enough, I've actually known some fans who also think of the My Chemical Romance fanbase to be similar to that of a cult.)

this entire thing is retarded. So some people have a favorite band they obsess with. its some of the idiotic fans that go wwwaaayyy overboard and ruin everything. then there are the people who think its funny to make fun of someone's favorite band and watch them get defensive. the entire thing is far beyond normal on both sides, and it'd be much better if people stopped asking questions about how great they are and how much they suck.
