I can't improve much on what "Zucchinisinratatouille" has already told you. We do not have anyone run for PM in the Election. The PM is the leader of the winning party. At the moment that's John Howard of the Liberal (Conservative) Party. Our alternative PM is Kevin Rudd of the Labor Party, the main opposition party at the moment. I'd guess Canada has the same system. John Howard has already indicated that he will step down as leader in the next term. I heard, on radio, the results of a survey which said 30% of voters were not happy to vote for the Liberal Party if there was a chance that Peter Costello (current Treasurer) would become our next PM. This election and result will be interesting to say the least.

I think you need to take what Huckabee said about AIDS patients in context. It was a long time ago, when there was still debate raging as to how infectious people with full-blown AIDS were, and come to think about it, patients with AIDS are still isolated from other patients. Why? Because people with AIDS and other immune-deficiency diseases are far more prone to getting infections from other patients. Isolating them and keeping them in a clean air environment prolongs their lives.
Did it ever occur to you that, as a Christian, Mr Huckabee might be a caring, compassionate person?
We tend to associate "Christians" in America with intolerance because of the words and deeds of a few. We tend to forget that the majority of Christians in America try to live up to the ideals of their religion, both in the way they conduct their own lives and their ability to forgive and love others.
"Christian" should not be a dirty word just because some people abuse it.
I should also add that Mick Huckabee was a successful multi-term governor, but because he was a minister, people tend to want to forget about his leadership experience outside of the church.

I call shotgun!
I don't want anything to do with Huckabee or any of the Republicans for that matter...except maybe Paul. But God forbid Romney even come close to winning. I'd shoot myself.

You do realize if huckabee wins, it's because clinton didn't get the nomination. he's their fallback last ditch guy to continue with the status quo. Though i wouldn't worry. Ron Paul is going to win. The people will see to it.

All I can say is, if Ron Paul does not get the republican nomination, they will have thrown the election to Hillary.

POLITICS SHOULD NEVER BE MIXED WITH RELIGION, PERIOD. the guy is a preacher, an ex-seminarist, WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING IN POLITICS? The biggest mistake of republicans is mixing religion with politics. Religion is the main divider in the world, why mix it with politics? (and I'm not an atheist, by the way, I was raised a Catholic!).
