Apple Ipod Updates?

I just wanted to know if apple was goin to update the ipod touches because i really want the iphone applications but i dont want to hack into my ipod because i dont to worry about it messing up so if you kno if they are leave a line and if you know of a website where they give details please post it thanks

they will add an update for 3rd aprty apps for the iPhone in february. I'm assuming they mean ipod touch too.
