Im having soo much trouble!

3x-2y=24
6x-4y=6

I keep getting y= -5.2
and thats not right :(

its a multiple choice question and x does NOT equal what you said and neither does y

(3x-2y=24) multiply by 2
6x-4y=6

6x-4y=48
6x-4y=6
________
Add them
12x = 54
x=4.5

6(4.5) -4y = 6
-4y = -21
y= 5.25

It's positive 5.25, not negative

Multiply the first equation by -2. That might work.

the answer is no solution

because when you multiply the top by -2 everything adds up to 0.
