They believe that supporting wealthy industrialists with big tax breaks and corporate welfare for failing businesses is more important than government benefiting ordinary people who are enslaved by them. In a way it defeats the purpose of the spirit of competition, because the top dogs of business are kept in position by them while making it harder for new smaller businesses to enter the playing field.
To rename them the "Business Party" would be good,
but perhaps the "Old Money Empires Party" would be a more descriptive name for them.

Business party actually might be the right idea. Republicans get down to business instead of like our congress who have not done any credible business over the past year.
What would you rename the Democratic party? That would have to be something like the "we don't take care of business party."
The more business and small business are promoted the betterment of the economy, and all of those involved as hard working Americans. The more business expansion, the more employment, the more the benefits. Don't forget this would bring in more revenue to the government.
Great idea!

I think the people that advocate PC are much more into hate speech & anti 1st Amendment than most conservatives ever thought to be. Those with "Superior Intellect" think they are so smart they don't do the required homework to have the depth to backup their views. Without the creation of wealth one can't afford all the feel good items the left wishes to give away as entitlements. (Criminals use the sense of entitlement as a justification for their actions.) The conservative wish individuals to self responsible - don't get pregnant. One doesn't have the right to kill just because (Both partners) are irresponsible. If the resalts of the irresponsiblity is pregnance BOTH parties should have equal say survival of the resalts. Darwin's theory is just as much a theory as creation. We have yet to find the missing link therefore it is an unproven theory. Use your "Superior Intellect" to show how your views create more wealth than the hated, environment destroying, global warming, Republican than theirs. Remember we are very easily manipulated by our greed!

both parties could be called that. Republicans should be called the protectionist party and the democrats the neoliberal party. NAFTA etc was done by democrats. they just have slightly different opinions on how best to assist the corporate sector.

The Republican party should be renamed the "Republicrat" party since it is virtually identical to the Democratic party. These "Republicrats" have put a stranglehold on our electoral process, and have created a monopolistic, corrupt two-party political system that allows voters no real choice of candidates. -
How about forming a new "People's Party" that caters to the whims and desires of the U.S. citizens instead of its big corporations? -RKO- 12/16/07

If this were the case, Warran Buffet, Bill Gates, Jay Rockafeller and Ted Turner would all have to convert to the good side, wouldn't they?
Oh, so would the Heinz Kerry family.
...and Oprah.
I'm confused about Hillary. She was on the Board of Directors for WalMart, but she was incompetent. Would she convert or would she get a pass?

Whatever floats your boat. I've closed out of 64 foreclosures this year and hope to get 8-10 more this week. I enjoy watching the idiots who can't read a contract being forced out of their homes and then buying them up wholesale. It's been a profitable business and hopefully will continue.
