. If you want to stay with that, try going to "PETA" 's website to get you started with links to both sides of the argument. I'm not a huge fan of PETA, but it's a good launch point for arguments and evidence. I was involved in a legal case like this that was really compelling. I don't know how long your paper needs to be, but if it is 10 pages or less, go with Chimps and do a search for "Jane Goodall" s website. The prevailing law on all of this, federally, is the "animal welfare act", so do that search too. A search on "Silver Springs Monkeys" will help you out too. There was a court case years ago -- and there is a current one going on in Germany -- where the courts are trying to decide -- because Chimps' DNA is so close to humans, should they have some basic rights to be treated better. It's fascinating, topical, and very current.
