Call it the Toledo Shuffle. He is a solid choice it could have become an embarassing situation of having endless "thanks, but no thanks" from top coaches. The team should not suffer a rebuilding year or two.....they will be in the mix for the conference crown with Illinois and Ohio State in 2008.

No! The spread offense is a crap system for selfish coaches or sub-par programs. What blue chip prospect that really valued a NFL career would actually want to run this system?

I mean, Sure Illinios went to it, and programs like Northwestern will run it. But Big Blue? That either makes UM a joke, or means they no longer care about thier reputation for sending quality players to the NFL.

Man boot Michigan out of the Big 10 and beg Notre Dame to join.

No. This guy has no character. He trashed his current players when talking to new recruits, blaming them for his team's failures, used Alabama to get a fat new contract with WV, saying he would retire there, then bolted for Michigan the next year, and what really takes the cake - he told a top recruit about leaving for Michigan before he even told his team!
Plus, we have this man to thank for "character" guys like "Pacman" Jones and Chris Henry. He recruited and kept playing them despite their continued criminal behavior at West Virginia.

He also did not have a great record in the Big East until all the good teams (Miami, BC, Virginia Tech) all left for the ACC.

Michigan will regret hiring this guy, mark my words.
