My daughter's birthday is 12/23.
She died in 06 so she will not be here for her birthday or Christmas.
My mother died in 07 so this will be the first Christmas without her.

I have been very blessed. However, I do know a sad story. I am a nurse and Thursday at work, we had a 32 year old man electrocuted while working. He died and left behind a beautiful wife and two daughters, aged 1 and 4. It was very sad to watch this family go through this horror. It will be his babies first Christmas and he died two weeks before.

YES, My dog, a Jack Russell Terrier/minature Rat Terrier mix died of a stroke and heart attack at home on May 29, 2007 at 9:15 PM. She was a brave and very good little friend for 12 years. Her age was estimated to be at least 15 years of age.

I am lucky! I have family nearby, my kids have their needs met and some of their wants, I am still waking up each morning and have a job to go to. My heart goes out to all of you that have such painful events and memories to deal with in this season of giving and rebirth.

Well, everything was going fine. But then yesterday morning, my brother-in-law's little sister died. She was only 10 years old. Her mom took her to the doctor, and they told her it was only a virus and didn't do anything to help her. It got to where she couldn't drink water and she had a seizure yesterday morning. Her heart stopped. I hope that doctor goes to hell a million times over, because aparently he didn't care very much what happened to her.

yes, people are afraid to say Merry Christmas because they don't want to offend anyone. and santa's can't say "ho, ho, ho" because women might get offended. and they aren't Christmas trees anymore, they are Holiday Trees. not to mention you have to say Xmas now instead of Christmas. it's very sad.
