Normally that kind of thing happens when, the wife normally finds out. If it doesn't happen it's because she's either in shock, scared of him or just thinking about all the time she's wasted on the relationship and then continues to cry until she gets angry enough to whoop his a**.
Life is funny like that sometimes ya know, I think it's always easier to know what to do when you're on the outside looking in.

It's funny how women expect this to be acceptable behavior yet if the tables were turned the man would be called an abuser.

A cheater and abuser always believes they are entitled to be doing what they do, so yes they would be surprised and angry and would probably press charges. I'd just leave instead.

I would question why the wife stayed in the marriage long enough to come to blows...then I'd advise her husband to file assault charges against her.
